This is research base project which is working on the effect of environmental pollution on power insulators and it's solution.

It's solution is to introduce the suitable coatings on for our environmental conditions

Project Objectives

To reduce power line losses related to the power line insulators due to environmental effect by introducing perfect type of coatings on it.

Project Implementation Method

Project methadolgy consists of applying different types of coatings on insulators then c omaparing results of following tests on coated insulators and recommend the suitable results to Government of Pakistan according to our environmental conditions.

1- Flashover Voltage ( Wet+Dry).

2- Puncture Strength test.

3- Environmental effect test (NSDD+TSDD).

4-Matetial Strength test.

Benefits of the Project

1-No.of losses due to environmental effect on power line insulators reduces.

2- initiative and progress in coating industry of Pakistan.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Technically we are working on the following tests on insulators.
