Project Summary

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple test that can be used to check your heart's rhythm and electrical activity. Sensors attached to the skin are used to detect the electrical signals produced by your heart each time it beats. The project is to develop a mini-diagnosis ECG analyzer device that can diagnose heart diseases independently without cloud connectivity. ECG Analyzer will analyze the ECG data without any dependency on the Internet. Before proceeding with the technical work, we would have to first learn some basics of ECG graphs. For example, The ECG graph was split into 5 Waves - P, Q, R, S, and T waves. So, the data would be analyzed for different peaks and then the data would be utilized in software. The circuit model can run on any supported microcontrollers. The device will analyze ECG patterns and classify if the person has a normal ECG or an irregular ECG.

Project Objectives

• Analysis of ECG of a regular person.

• Identification of an irregular ECG rhythm.

• Identification of a specific cardiovascular disease for a specific rhythm of ECG.

Project Implementation Method

1. Study of different Cardio-vascular diseases and analysis of their ECGs

2. Observe the irregular ECG through software

3. Set a standard wave of ECG 

4. Coding to check for specific Cardio-vascular diseases

5. Implementing Hardware

Benefits of the Project

1. It will inform the patient of an irregular ECG so that they may go to the doctor in a timely manner for the treatment

2. It is much more convenient as you may be informed of your ECG status before visiting the doctor

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

1. Our project will acquire an ECG from the patient

2. It will check for irregularities in the ECG

3. It will inform the patient of the corresponding cardiovascular disease according to the irregular ECG
