Project Summary

Children are very much interested in watching animations, cartoons and playing cartoon-based games. When it comes to learning poems its very hard to teach poems to children as poetic language seems boring but when children learn the poem, they enjoy it so much. Teacher put a lot of effort in order to teach poem well that is a time taking and difficult task. Augmented Reality (AR) has left an explosive impact on technology development. With the help of AR anything can be taught virtually with animations etc. We are proposing a solution to overcome mentioned problem with the help of AR, image processing and natural language processing (NLP). We will design a mobile app, that will teach poems with the help of augmented reality.

Project Objectives

This application will be very helpful for the teacher and as well as parents. Parents can also use this application at their home in order to teach poems to their children with a lot of animated entertainment. Teacher can use this application in classroom for teaching purposes. It will be a very beneficial solution for making learning easy and efficient.

Project Implementation Method

Teacher will launch our app on mobile or tablet. When he/she will capture the image of poem, our machine learning algorithm will detect the poem using natural language processing. After recognition of poem we will play animated and augmented reality-based objects on the screen such as cartoons, fairies etc. in order to make learning interesting.

Benefits of the Project

Project will be helpful for montissory  students to learn poems in a very new innovative way. This project aims to connect students with technology at very early age. This project aims to increase thinking capability and develop critical thinking techniques in kids at school level.  

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The project's final deliverable will be a mobile application software initially designed for android operating system. Our application will be available on google play store from where teachers or parents can download and install easily on the tablet or mobile and engage their kids in learning cum fun activities.
