SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT:

• Notice boards are playing a very important role in our day to day life. In educational institutions, the organization use circulars and notice boards for conveying information to the students. Notice Board is basic concern in any organization or institution and also it is use in many public places including bus stations, railway stations and malls educational institutes etc. But the problem arises here is the traditional way of displaying notices is sticking print of notices on notice board which is difficult task.
• In Educational institutes this methodology takes additional time for updating also many students may not be aware of the information displayed on notice boards due to non-eye catching notices. Similar issues were faced by the students in our University. To overcome this issue we have come up with the idea of “Digital Notifier Panel.” Digital Notifier panel is one of the ways of displaying notices in which the notices are display on a L LCD Display Screen.
• These notices are changed dynamically .Our goal is to ensure that admin, students and teachers get ease of displaying any notification/ content regarding university activities. We have to only type the notices and send that notice for displaying on display screen. The Display screen and the system are connected with the help of the different mechanisms. The advantage of this project is that more than one notice or content is visible on the screen as the notices scroll across. Also it has another feature of displaying content in images/ video/ pdf formats ”Digital Notifier Panel” would be very efficient and cost effective way to spread messages to hundreds of students in University at the same time.
• Moreover, today many organizations are using digital display boards to show the all kinds of information, but they are connected wires.
• Digital Notifier panel would be wireless, so it doesn’t get messy and easy to adjust it anywhere. It will be web based and android app, authorized users will be given verified username and passwords and they can login to the application from anywhere. When a user sends any message it will be verified by admin, after the verification it will pass through the Raspberry Pi and then the notification will be displayed on LCD screen.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

•  A notice board where every content is visible. Each content comes after the other with a full screen visibility.
• Define stay time for each content.
•  Splitting our notice board in multiple regions to show multiple contents to all at the same time.
•  Easily customize size of each region.
•  Manage content on notice board from anywhere.
•  Ticker management(run text scollers to highlight news)
• Support for wide variety of formats(word,PDF,image,videos)
• Define expiry date or start time of a content.
•  Event announcements such as sport competitions:

1.  Emergency alerts 
2.  Class schedules
3.  Room changes
4.  Campus guides

•  To develop a dynamic notice structure/model

Project Implementation Method

The proposed methodology has been divided into 4 stages:

1. User uploading customize input using web portal or android application.
2. Input verification and legalization through admin panel.
3. Incorporating with Raspberry-pie.
4. Publishing input on display screen.

• Digital notifier boards help save the environment. They eliminate the use of paper printouts and help reduce the carbon footprint.
• Reducing printing costs.
• Improve accessibility to information: Traditional bulletin boards typically feature overlapping layers of flyers and pamphlets that interfere with the accessibility of information. If you want communication to flow smoothly in your organizations, you should look into digital signage solutions. Moreover, your audience will quickly spot the relevant content of digital message boards, which creates convenience.
• Provide Real-Time Updates: Digital message boards can display real-time information regarding meeting schedules, sports update, events, and ongoing projects.
• Mostly the notice boards are overlooked.
• We don’t need to go over and over again to see the notice board. Students can see the message displayed by the admin digitally on the screen.
