In today’s world everything is controlled by computer systems in every aspect of life. Vehicle is also controlled by computer if there is something happened with the computer the whole car can be crashed, and the owner can’t do anything about it, and they can be facing big misshape for reducing this effect We are developing a system which help the vehicle owner a live and on the spot maintenance of their vehicle.
By implementing hardware and software application. With help of these we will manage to scan the Electronic Controlling Unit (ECU) of the vehicle which has the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD-II) system which give us the data of current vehicle’s health and the fault indication on the speedometer of vehicle, In our system we will fetch the data using Bluetooth protocol in our hardware which is ( ESP-32 which has the capability of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ) after fetching the data in esp-32 we will sent that data to google firebase (Real Time Database ) and at the same time we will be showing the indication against abnormal data on the Display i.e (TFT-LCD) and the data which we are sending to google firebase can be accessible from our mobile application which we are developing,
Owner of the car has that mobile application in his Android/IOS cell phone and can analyze their vehicle anywhere around the world
Project ObjectivesThe main Objective of this whole project is to design a hardware which help us to:
- Extract Data from vehicle through OBD-II.
- Implementation and designing of algorithms for data extractions
- Identify relevant entities from OBD-II data
- Temperature Monitoring, Fuel Consumption
- Display on TFT LCD in Vehicle and on Mobile Application
- Signs, Alarm, Suggestions, Graphical analysis of relevant data
- Critical Checks on parameters and necessary actions execution.
- Generating Alarm, Power Cut Off with the help of relays
- Develop a mobile application (Android/IOS)
- Flutter Framework using dart programming
- Integrating with Google firebase [Real-Time Database (RTDB)]
Get data from vehicle ECU using ELM-327 adapter (having itself a controller that send commands to ECU to get parameters i.e., sensors data) we will use the Freematics Software for connectivity between vehicle and OBD Adapter that working on CAN protocol (Basically a 2-wire serial communication protocol). After this, ELM-327 communicates with ESP32 via Bluetooth protocol. When data received, ESP32, we're designing and implementation of algorithms for our useable data filtering and analyzing. Displaying essential parameters on TFT Resistive Touchscreen LCD (Model: MAR3501, Driver IC: ILI9486) which is driven by Mega2560. Critical Checks on parameters also display alerts on LCD and turn on alarms. Perform necessary actions execution in uncertain conditions like turn off vehicle when it's overheated etc. Also send data to Google Firebase from ESP32 using Wi-Fi protocol. Additionally, saving data locally when our vehicle didn't have Wi-Fi connection, but we connect our hardware with SIM900A module to provide internet network for a real time system. We are also developing a mobile Application (Android/IOS) which will be working on the flutter framework (framework use for developing hybrid/native mobile application) which help the owner of the vehicle to analyze his vehicle health and performance on real time
Benefits of the ProjectMost important benefit of this project, it will work on real time scenario the already product exiting doesn’t have that ability for real time analysis, Our product analyze the vehicle in real time
Our basic aim behind this project is help people with their vehicle maintenance and save them from extra expenses, lots of innocent people became the victim of fraudsters who charge them a heavy amount for simple maintenance of there vehicles, so keeping this in our mind we develop a system which help people to recognize the fault in early stages and they don’t need to give extra money for the maintenance of their vehicle. We are building a product that help people to monitor their vehicle and do some action which help to stop the major breakdown in vehicle this product is cheaper than available equipment and system in the market and it will also be easy to use and diagnostic product. We want that everyone knows their vehicle condition malfunctions in early stages
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis project will be based on automation, the main motive of this project will be to entertain those people who don’t have so much knowledge of vehicle maintenance. We are launching the product which can be fit inside the car, and it is very handy in terms of carrying in the vehicle. Its working is very simple and we are using simple components for designing this product i.e initially we will connect our OBD-II adapter and start fetching the data using Freematics software once we get the data we will sent it to our esp-32 module using Bluetooth protocol and once the data save in the esp-32 we will apply some checks and display some alerts in TFT-LCD and at the same time we will sent the data in the Cloud i.e (Google Firebase) and this data can be retrieve through Android/IOS mobile application that application will be developed using the flutter framework
And all the data will be updated in Real-Time, and the owner of the vehicle can view it on the spot
