Designing of Alternator for Power Generation
Most people are spending most of their lifetime in walking. Walking is also known as ambulation, i.e., a fundamental and common locomotion for human in daily life. The contact between human feet and ground surface is created during the walking. The forces experienced by human feet upon landing on the ground can generate a renewable energy known as kinetic energy. This energy can be converted into electricity through a footstep power generator. The idea of the project revolves around the people that as long as they are walking on shopping mall’s entrance, hospital's entrance, Airport's entrance, jogging tracks etc., the electricity will be generating from the kinetic energy of the people. The person passes through the tiles that we place over alternator in such a manner that at every press of human feet, the tile pushed not more than an inch, this linear press will rotate the rotator of the axial flux alternator and helps as achieve our target to generate electricity. This power generation method using alternator doesn’t need any fuel to produce power. The idea of power generation using an alternator is a promising source to generate electricity by the raw power of the walking people. Most people are spending most of their lifetime in walking. Goals: In this project, a simple and yet low cost mechanism has been proposed to enhance the performance and efficiency of energy conversion from kinetic energy to electrical energy by placing a alternator below floor tile, mechanical footstep power generator.
Research : Kinetic energy is considered as one of the renewable energies. Different types of footstep power generators are available in the market. Despite of their popularity, these power generators suffers with some drawbacks such as the infeasibility of this technology under static condition and the limitation of power capacity. One of the greatest challenges in this project is to design the footstep based axial alternator that is not in the market also it is a new product that we are wanted to introduce in the market that will later helps us to gain knowledge and experience in this field.
Basic implementation plan : In the proposed project mob will walk passed by the tiles beneath that we placed design alternator that produce electrical energy by getting desired rpm that will stored in DC battery and can utilize easily.

The following are the socio-economic benefits of the projects:
