Design Simulation and Model Fabrication of a Remote Controlled Hybrid Ploughing Machine
Pakistan is an agriculturally based country. Pakistan’s agriculture system contributes about 19.9 percent in the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Major issue for agriculture in Pakistan is lack of use of advanced technology, so there is a need for the automation in agriculture sector. In this project a remote-controlled ploughing machine is designed and prototype is fabricated to materialize the design. This will reduce the size of the ploughing machine as well as less power will be required which will ultimately lead to less fuel consumption. This will bring ease in the life of farmer, as it will save his expenses for ploughing and it will also save time. Since our ploughing machine will be smaller in size so it can access the smaller and difficult terranes where conventional ploughing machines (tractor) cannot be used. Main power source for the ploughing machine is an IC Engine, while it also uses a Solar Panel which charges the battery and runs its accessories i.e., lights and the starter motor for the engine by the means of a rechargeable battery. This automatic ploughing machine will be operated by remote with wireless RF Communication.

After finalizing the machine design on the Solid Works simulation being performed on the Ansys which includes the defining material, forces application, and load division and finally running the simulation to check the sustainability of the ploughing machine.
Final and most important part is the fabrication of the machine that includes the purchase of CD-70 engine as its main power source of the machine and also the purchase of the solar panel. These are all accessories that will be attached with the frame which includes attachment of hydraulic system, front and rear wheels and three-point hitch attachment. Finally, after completing fabrication automation being done using RF (Radio Frequency) based remote-control system

This ploughing machine is being designed on a smaller scale as of 2.5 ft by 4.5ft in width and length respectively. CD-70 engine being utilized for the power source which has 5.3 HP (Horse Power), 4.5Nm of Torque. Battery being utilized is of 12V(volts). Ploughing machine weighs 45kg.Main power source for the ploughing machine is an IC Engine, while it also uses a Solar Panel which charges the battery and runs its accessories i.e., lights and the starter motor for the engine by the means of a rechargeable battery. This automatic ploughing machine will be operated by remote with wireless RF Communication.Chasis of this ploughing machine being made using MS (Mild Steel) as it has good machineability, good weldability and also has strength. Hydraulic system being attached with two lift rods with functioning of raising or lowering the plough according to the requirement. This plough machine has the rear wheel drive with self start system being integrated with the remote-control.
