Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe thought of automation has influenced many human beings to go through the depth of areas beyond it. In modern lifestyle the home automation plays a key role because of its access in using at various places with high quality which will save time by reducing labor work automatically. In the home automation, electrical devices are used which do not communicate with each other. All devices are stand alone and can be separately programmed, such as remote controllers, sensors and communication system. To control electronic devices remotely and automatically the home automation is used. The main aim of this technology is on control home load like fan, tube light, AC, etc. Although exceptional researches have shown unique methods to control domestic appliances. The purpose of this project is to prepare such a system to control home appliances remotely with the help of Global System for Mobile communication technology. This project is operated on DC power by using GSM technology to control AC loads, and fingerprint door lock system. This system can be implemented in existing homes. It is favorable for handicapped, disabled and elderly people.
Project Objectives- To develop such system to provide home automation with smart phone.
- To simulate optimization model for the automation through PROTEOUS.
- Finger print door lock system.
- Automatic control of water in tank.
- Automatic garage system.
- To validate simulation results with the Literature techniques’.
- Simulation will be performed using PROTEOUS Software.
- To control home appliances through android phone with GSM module.
- To control water level in tank with water controller.
- To make door lock with the fingerprint reader sensor.
- To develop such system to provide home automation with smart phone.
- To simulate optimization model for the automation through PROTEOUS.

- To proposed system is based on the Aruduino which is a GSM enabled microcontroller board along with power transistors and relays with sensors to control the appliances.
- Proposed system contains core objectives are to provide the automation by using IoT; When the residents are not present at home tragedies occurs such as thefts during night. This is because home does not provide any secure system, but in this we can secure the system by using GSM technology.
- The appliances are controlled by using GSM technology to control appliances even someone is not present in the home then it also provide switching of the appliances.
- As the water is main resource of living things, and wastage of water is main problem. To control the water in the tank, sensors are used to take the readings and sends to the microcontrol and logics are programmed in microcontroller according to logics set it will provide switching of motor through relays.
- Without automatic door system of garage, it will take time, labor work and money. So for this purpose, proposed system provide the atomatic door system the PIR sensor which is installed, it will provide logic either object is present in front of this or not and from through this module data is transfered to the microcontroller, according to the logic it provide the switching of the door lock.
- Finger print door lock system in this project area, the fingerprint reader take data by using optical light and accussed data is transmitted to the microcontroller and programmed microcontroller provide the switching through the power transistor and relays.
