Design of Temperature Controller and Development of Evacuated Glass Tubes Based Solar Water Heater
olar energy is a renewable resource that can reduce dependency on restricted resources, demand for solar water heating systems has expanded dramatically around the world. Solar collectors gather solar energy, and among the numerous types of solar collectors, an evacuated solar collector is the most efficient and convenient. However, excessive solar radiation (particularly in the summer) has caused an overheating problem, reducing the unit's lifespan, causing early component failure, and lowering the system's performance. This study provides a design for a temperature management system that can safeguard household solar water heating systems from overheating by reducing overheating. The method takes into account both weather and household demand. The most common protection mechanism is automatic protection method controls most types and models of solar water heating systems, so that it can attain a safe desired temperature without influencing hot water availability.
The objective of this project are to:
1)Design of digital controller for Glass Tubes based solar water heater.
2)Development of evacuated glass tubes based solar water heater.
A solar thermal system absorbs and converts the solar heat energy required to satisfy heat requirements in various temperature ranges. The solar evacuated glass tubes are attached to the temperature sensor and pneumatic valve both are controlled by control unit which is over desired problem. At the end of pneumatic valve there is hot water tank in which water level sensor which is also attached to the control unit.
At the other end there is a cold water tank which is moved up by pump and the pump is also controlled by central control unit. The pump move the water up to the glass tubes and there is a non return valve between glass tubes and pump to avoid the back flow of water. Temperature is sensed by controller and set pneumatic valve ON to flow the hot water.

In this project a controller for temperature sensor and water level checker is made and implemented by using solar evacuated glass tubes.
