The project consist of composite materials in this project we are going to design fabricate and test a fibre reinforced composite material. we are interested in examining the behaviour of fibre reinforced composite also gathering data and knowledge about a fibre reinforced composite under different stresses and strength, For designing and fabricating purpose we will be designing and fabricating a car bonnet while for testing the fibre reinforced composite we will be preparing testing samples based upon its standard size and dimension.

Project Implementation Method

Following are the project implementation methods:

  1. The purpose of this project is to design fabricate and manufacture a composite, as we know that composites are unique in their properties as compared to different types of steel and other materials they are more stronger and harder they are light in weight and easy to handle.
  2. According to the research which we carried out the world is now shifting towards light weight and strong materials as we can see the concept of electric vehicels which mostly use composites for the structure or sports industry which use composites for different manufacturing purposes so our goal is to contribute and prepare and aware ourselves with future demands.
  3. now in design sector we designed a car bonnet and had a comparison between steel bonnet and a composite bonnet which showed that there was a big diffrence between the results ,the composite made bonnet resist more to the impact while the steel one was completely destroyed, in all theoratical, summilations and numerical analysis the composite bonnet was way better than the steel one
  4. now we have targeted the automobile manufacturing industry and car consumers, our product is for future as well as for  the safety of the customer now we will be conducting impact tests after our project is final to ensure the objectives of the project.
  5. impact test will provide us results which we will than compare with the present material of which car bonnet is fabricated we will compare both and will find out that which is the best among two.
  6. finally at the end we will discuss the whole procedure from designing fabricating and testing into the thesiss and in this way we will summ up the project.

Benefits of the project:

This project will benefit us in the future as i said earlier that increase demand of fibre composites in the world is providing oppurtunities for more technical and skilled jobs morever this project will teach us that how we can analyze and how we can design a composite material because the fabrication process of a composite is wat different than metals and other materials it is totally different so a new experience is going to tak place. some other benefits include knowledge and learning which is much important because practical work is much difficult and totally opposite of theoratical wprk they do nogt meet each other regarding to design results manufacturing fabrication many things do not go according to the olan so in this project we are going to face rhese things and we will learn how to handle such situations and how we can aquire these things so our moto is to learn more and more out of it.
