In recent years, concerns regarding climate change and global warming have resulted in a debate
to divert the focus of research and development towards renewables and green energy sources.
Electrical energy production has been a significant contributor to fossil fuel emissions and
temperature rise. Therefore, it was needed that the production of electricity should be diverted towards
the sources which are renewables and green in nature.
Solar PVs have been used for years for its less maintenance, environment-friendly nature, and
availability of its raw material in abundance (Silicon) because of which prices of the Solar PVs are
decreasing with the passage of time.
Usually, power distribution across the world is done in AC mode because of the infrastructural
constraints and low losses. Therefore, Electrical energy produced by the Solar PVs cannot be
simultaneously used along with grid power.

Project Objectives

Project decision was not an easy task. To adopt this as our final year project is now considered us to be the best decision. It has helped to learn and implement what we have studied for years.

Objective beside our own learning is to come up with the local and improved version of Transformerless Grid Tie inverter which is capable of injecting AC power into the grid online or can also work wat offline conditions. One of the main objectives is to shift the power focus to the renewables and make it easy and cheaper to adopt new technologies. At the same time, we are very much hopeful that it will benefit the agriculture community which makes the most of our country

Project Implementation Method

The project requires thorough learning of power electronics fundamentals along with control systems such as feedforward and feedback. The project is broadly divided into two main systems. The power stage and the control stage. The power stage is implemented through DC-DC step up and SPWM Inversion which is controlled by the control stage. The control stage involves taking input and outputs along with reference signals to create an appropriate control signal for the system.

Benefits of the Project

Transformerless Grid Tie inverter is a system beneficial to the broad community. It benefits the Power system Consumers, Residents of far flung areas, Agricultural Community, Nature, and even the Power system Utilities. It can help to reduce the carbon footprint. The system is also an essential part of electrical vehicles and other Medical equipment as well.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The Deliverable will be capable of converting A DC voltage into AC voltage and at the same time can also be tied with the grid power as well
