A prototype of the Pelton wheel is designed which will help to generate the direct current (DC) voltage. In our houses, all the electric devices are operated on the alternating current (AC) voltage. The stored or the generated energy needs to be converted into the (AC) voltage. The process of the conversion from the (DC) to (AC) is done by the device termed as an inverter. The traditional inverters which are available in the market have low power rating moreover they do not have the better efficiency as well. The neutral point clamped inverter is used to do the required task of the conversion of voltage from (DC) to (AC). Neutral point clamped inverters have better power rating and better stress handling than traditional inverters due to the greater number of switching gadgets used. The switching of the three-phase three-level neutral point clamped inverter is controlled by one of the best switching techniques which is termed model predictive control (MPC). The terms like total harmonic distortion and steady-state error are removed with the help of the model predictive control (MPC).
