For the past few years, three-dimensional (3D) printers have been used to design colourful physical objects. 3D printing is an expensive process and required an enormous amount of assets and dense machinery. Most of the 3D printers are available in the market at a very high cost. The existed 3D-printers are not working on wireless connectivity.

Project Objectives

3D printing revolutionized the way the products are built. It is used extensively for ideation, envisioning the product design with a model in hand. With a wide range of materials available in different colours, the companies can now create models that are astonishingly close to real or final product. This project aims to develop a wireless controllable machine that will create a colourful three dimensional (3D) objects. This project enables us to produce complex shapes that will help in the educational and medical industry. We are going to propose a low-cost printer to design colourful physical objects

Project Implementation Method

First we searched in phase 1 about 3D printer and its working process then we were searched on the components and availability of the components. We purchased some components and verify them through testing. We are using Arduino mega(2560) with ramps 1.4 which control the stepper motors along motor driver A4988 and gear pullies.

Benefits of the Project

The main advantages of 3D printer is: Reducing costs, less waste, reduce time, get an competitive advantage, reduce errors, confidentiality, tangible design and product testing, production on demand.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Arduino Mega (2560) microcontroller is use for controlling the motors along ramp 1.4. It is a Mega Pololu Shield, or ramps for short,designed to fit the entire electronics needed for a RepRap in one small package for low cost. Ramps interfaces an Arduino Mega with the powerful Arduino MEGA platform and has plenty room for expansion.

The final deliverable will be a 3d printer, able to design any 3d shape built of CAD software. The product will replace manual building of small objects against the printed version.
