Design and fabrication of indigenous solid plastic waste recycling system
Project Area of Specialization Mechanical EngineeringProject SummaryA plastic waste recycling machine crushes plastic material, such as plastic bottles, into small particles for reuse or recycling. Plastic pollution has been more prevalent in recent years. In this project, we will create a system that allows the plastic to be collected, crushed, and then reused to create various items. This project aims to create or offer a method for reusing waste plastic to create new items using renewable energy technologies.
Project ObjectivesFollowing are major objectives:
- To produce a low-cost machine.
- Easy to operate. With improved processing.
- Can be used at local recycling stations.
- Indigenous manufacturing and servicing.
- To design the machine as possible in a compact size.
Following are the methods for implementing the project:
- The project aims to create a mechanism that collects waste plastic and shreds it into little pieces in order to reduce plastic waste and safeguard the environment.
- Plastic waste is a big global issue that has an impact on our environment. Plastic and other similar materials can be shredded in a shredder machine to reduce their size to a fraction of their original size. It will also take up less space after shredding than it did before.
- We will be dealing with a proper system in which we will collect plastic waste such as plastic bottles and then put it through a good cleaning process in which all the dirt and liquids will be washed out, leaving us with a clean material at the end.
- After the plastic has been cleaned, it will be fed into a plastic shredder machine, where steel blades will shred the plastic into little pieces, which will then be collected in a collection box.
The benefits of the project are given below:
• This project will improve waste plastic recovery from various commercial and industrial operations such as plastic bottles, moulding, trimming, and casting.
• The shredded plastic from the shredder is easy to handle and reuse.
• It can also be utilized to make money by selling shredded plastic as a raw material.
• It also aids in the recovery of garbage from commercial operations.
• Companies can also lower their carbon footprint and reduce pollution in the environment.
We are unable to share technical information regarding the project because it is currently being completed.
