It is a scaled model of flying board which could be used as a mode of transportation in next few years. Our flying board consists of an octo copter. Its design is quite different from the regular octo copter, its design is optimized to achieve the goal which is to provide maximum thrust in low cost.

Project Area of Specialization Mechatronics EngineeringProject SummaryIt is a scaled model of flying board which could be used as a mode of transportation in next few years. Our flying board consists of an octo copter. Its design is quite different from the regular octo copter, its design is optimized to achieve the goal which is to provide maximum thrust in low cost. Moreover, safety features are introduced to tackle accidental issues. In short it is a single man flying machine which could be use in too many aspects in near future. Its durability and reliability make it more trustable for the consumers.
Project ObjectivesLoad carrying: Our objective is to make a machine that will carry more load into the air.
Design optimization: Objective is to optimize the design of octo copters to make them durable and generate maximum thrust.
Mode of transportation: Safety measures have taken to make it more reliable and trustful so that it can be used for transportation.
Cost management: Objective is to minimize the cost while giving such a smooth and entertaining mode of transportation.
Project Implementation MethodLoad calculations: we considered how much load we are going to lift and calculation is done to design the machine.
Thrust calculations: After the load we have to calculate how much thrust we need to lift our load.
Availability: Then we checked in the market either these things are available or we have to import them:
Design: After these calculations we design the flying board (initial model) in CAD software.
Simulations: Then we run simulations either the project is feasible or not. All of the work is done on engineering software and will be mentioned in the report.
Analysis: We have done quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Order: we have ordered all the equipment from different places.
Fabrication: Its fabrication is done in different phases.
Final representation: it will be done in the mid of May, 2020
Benefits of the ProjectMode of transportation: we can use it for the mode of transportation.
Food distribution: it can be used as a drone to distribute food in remote areas.
Lifesaving: It can be proved lifesaving used to transport extremely injured persons to hospital from the places where ambulances cannot reach.
Clean energy : it will workon batteries thus provide a clean energy source with zero pollution.
Fire extinguishers: It can be used in fire fighting departments to save many lives.
Entertainment industry: Its high use will be seen in entertainment industry for photography and video making and to perform different stunts.
Research and development: Our research can be helpful for the future developments to make more optimized and better flying machine and most importantly our research is providing a gateway to make electrical turbines which is the future of aerospace engineering.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableOur Flying board can lift up to 80 kg apart from its own weight but as far as our scaled model is concerned it is quite small in size which we are making right now its specifications are
