Project Area of Specialization Mechanical EngineeringProject SummaryThe remote controlled solar grass cutter is a machine which can be used to cut grass. The machine can be controlled by a person from a distance within a suitable range by just giving directions of movement to the machine through a simple remote control. This wouldn’t need much effort as it is needed in the traditional manual grass cutters. The power required to run the machine is provided by a solar energy and hence, works differently from an electric grass cutter. In our project it is aimed to use DC motor for cutting as well as for movement of vehicle. Cutting is done through stainless steel blade. The grass cutter consists of four wheels and is rear wheel drive. For step cutting adjustable cutter is used which can be moved up and down. It is aimed to build a solar grass cutter which would cut the grass of 3 to 4 in over a 100 square feet flat lawn.

The benefits of our project is we designed pollution free machine because we use renewable energy resources solar energy in place of non renewable energy resources like petrol diesel etc. And have less maintenance cost because it is one time investment and have no use of lubrication etc.And it has less Driven cost as compared to traditional grass cutter because they use IC engine which has high fuel cost that way we used solar energy to run the grass cutter.It is environmental friendly mean it required less human efforts as compare to conventional.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe remote control solar grass cutter is power by solar energy and is control with the help of remote.A 12V battery is installed for storage purpose which is charge by solar energy.12V DC motors are used for the vehicle movement and also for cutting of grass.
