A sounding rocket, unlike a satellite launch vehicle, performs an observation mission in the earth's atmosphere/space before impact. Pakistan has produced many satellites, but due to a lack of a launch vehicle, it has been unable to launch any more. Many rockets are also not reusable due to their inability to land correctly. We are developing a sounding rocket whose structure, recovery system, avionics, and propulsion system will all be made entirely in Pakistan. It will reach at a predetermined apogee with a payload of an exploratory rover vehicle that will survey the environment and collect data while performing an autonomous maneuver. In addition to reaching the target altitude, has been to design custom glass fibre body tubes that can be reused on multiple rockets. When a rocket is assembled, the fins, motor mount, and other components are usually permanently affixed to the vehicle's lower body tube. If the fin or motor size changes, the entire assembly is rendered useless, forcing a team to roll a new body tube from the ground up. The primary goal is to reuse the body tube on future rockets and develop completely removable motor mounts and fins, which can cost hundreds of dollars and take hours of work to roll, epoxy, sand, and polish all over again

Benefits of the Project

Scope of project is to Design and Fabrication of a high-power Sounding Rocket with a Scientific Payload that provides relevant and Cost-Effective Research and Development to support the Space Launch System (SLS). Primary goal is to reuse the body tube on future rockets and develop completely removable motor mounts and fins to serve as easily affordable platforms to test or prove prototypes of new components or subsystems intended for use in sounding rockets.
