Project Area of Specialization Mechanical EngineeringProject SummaryA high speed target drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle which is used simulate an enemy aircraft.Forces use it to train their ground support to counter such situations like the incident happened back in feb 2019 where indian aircrafts entered out territory.
This project is divided into three groups,Design and structural analysis group, CFD group and Controls group.
Our Final year project is to do conceptual design and structual analysis of the designed target drone.In the end, we will try to fabricate the target drone if get the required funding.
Design would be done using AAA software and structural analysis would be done using Idealization technique.
Project ObjectivesThe objective of this project is to adress the secuirity situations of Pakistan and train our ground support personenel and our GD pilots how to encounter effectively an enemy aircraft or a flight vehicle.As a similar situation happened back in feburary 2019, when Indian airforce sent fighter aircrafts to bomb at specific positions near LOC,we want our army and airforce personnel to be ready for these kind of situations if they happen again by simulating similar conditions using our target drone.
Project Implementation MethodThe design of the Target drone is done on Advanced Aircraft Analysis software which is used as standard in design of aircrafts.The design process was divided into catagories of weight sizing, aerodynamic module, performance module,geometical design ,propulsion,stability and control analysis and load modules.we will do the iterative process untill we achieve our required performance from the target drone.
The structural analysis would be done using idealization techniques to analyze load situations at different points of the target drone.An algorithnm for structural analysis using idealization would be made using Matlab code.
Benefits of the ProjectThis projects would be very helpful in adressing security situations of pakistan.Also,Defense equipment is sold very costly, so Pakistan can do mass production of it and can sell it to other countries and can make huge profits out of it.

Range of 100 Km
Ceiling of 11000 to 15000 ft.
Endurance of 60 Mins.
