Project Area of Specialization Mechatronics EngineeringProject SummaryIndustrial automation totally revolutionized the industry and industrial automation to another level. Our project will increase the industrial productivity and its efficiency by eliminating the human error. We shall design a fully automated conveyor belt which can sort out three Shapes of Objects (Square, Rectangle and Triangle) on the basis of their Shape and any other undesired shape than fall in the bin at the end of the conveyor belt. Our conveyor belt will be consisting of 3 linear actuators to separate the Desired Shape Objects (Square, Rectangle and Triangle). We shall use a microcontroller and a camera to recognize the Desired Shape Objects (Square, Rectangle and Triangle). When we shall put Desired Shape Objects (Square, Rectangle and Triangle) on the conveyor belt ultrasonic sensor will sense the Object and conveyor belt will start running. Then camera will get image of the Object and will send it to Microcontroller where image will be processed. We shall write a proper code to sort out the Desired Shape Objects (Square, Rectangle and Triangle) on the basis of its Shape and then move the linear actuator to separate the Objects.

Project Implementation MethoduOur conveyor belt consists of 3 linear actuators to separate the desired shapes objects.(Square, Rectangle & Triangle)
u We use a microcontroller and a camera to recognize the shapes.
u When we put objects of desired shapes on the conveyor belt, ultrasonic sensor senses the object and conveyor belt starts running.
u If the shape is other than the desired shape, then camera get image of the object and sends it to microcontroller where image is processed.
uWe write a proper code to sort out the objects of desired shapes on the basis of its size and shape, then move the linear actuator to separate the object.
