Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryThe scope of project is mainly for handicap/disabled persons. According to the research of psychologist, “The disable persons are mostly intend to suffer desideration due to disturbance in body image” (Harry Prosen, PMCID: PMC1928399, PMID: 14296008 ). The project intends to help handicap/disabled persons to get rid of desideration by providing them prothesis hand. This hand will not only help them during desideration period but also help them in daily life activities such as hand shaking, writing and sign etc.
Project ObjectivesThe main objectives of the project are:
- To control bionic/prosthetic hand using nerve impulse.
To limit the movement of fingers so that it can not destroy the object.
Project Implementation MethodThis project could be impelemented to handicap/disable peoples by commercializing it. by the use of this project handicap/disable people can feel easy to achive thier daily life activities which were'nt achiveing before the project.
Benefits of the ProjectThere are many benefits of this project
- The Prosthetic hand will help disabled person in their daily life activities.
- The prosthetic hand will normalizie their look so that they can not suffer inferiority complex.
- The previous prosthetic available at market were highly expensive. Our project will much less expensive.
EMG sensor in the project senses the nerve impulse as the input signal and sends it to the microcontroller. The microcontroller decodes the signal and sends it to the servo motors. The servo motor will start working. The strain gauge sensor will sense movement cause by servo motors and send it back to microcontroller. The microcontroller will analysis the feedback from strain gauge sensors and send signal to servo motors whether so stop working or continue.
