Concentrated solar power (CSP) is the most likely candidate among all the considerations such as wind generation, conventional PV cells generation and etc. for providing the majority of this renewable Energy, because it is amongst the most cost-effective renewable electrical energy technologies. Three main technologies have been identified during the past decades for generating electricity: ? Dish/engine technology, which can directly generate electricity in isolated locations. ? Parabolic trough technology, which produces high pressure superheated steam. ? solar tower technology which generates air above 1000°C or synthesis gas for gas turbine operation. The solar radiation get incident on the surface of the lens so the lens converges and concentrates the sun rays and get them to the boiler or cylinder to heat the working fluid. The working fluid then moves the turbine or engine connected to the shaft coupled with the alternator to produce the electricity. The paper holds the miniature replication of the formation of a Concentrated Solar Power system. Showing why this technology should hold precedence over other works. In Pakistan there is a need of such work to take place and this paper provides an initiative for future engineers to implement these findings on to their more advanced and perfect models over time.

Project Objectives

The project’s governing objectives are as follows:

To be able to produce electricity through a renewable source. 

To reduce the running cost.

To generate environmental friendly energy. 

To save the fossil fuel reserves.

Project Implementation Method

Any idea is useless if proper research is not made to initiate it thus we will start with a thorough theoretical research from authentic and approved research papers (IEEE). After our research has been complete we will survey markets to finalize the equipment needed and which range is best suited with the requirement of the equipment. After equipment shopping, we will start with the practical aspect of our project by bringing the ideas into existence through constant trial and error. Making all the necessary modifications that are necessary to boost the performance of our working model. After all the modifications, polishing and displaying of our final updated model we will write a thorough research paper, indicating the start till end of our entire project.

Industries are at the most benefit from this project as to them electricity is a basic need for all their production. If they find a cost effective and efficient method of producing electricity like this in particular it will surely help them in reducing the expense of high energy demands as now they can produce their own electricity. Some industries that tend to generate electricity will now have to spend lesser amount to produce electricity. 

Residential Consumers:

Residential consumers can benefit themselves by utilizing the heat energy generated through this process as it can be used as an alternative to gas dependent cooking ranges. It is environment friendly as it protects environment from hazards of fossil fuel. It eventually helps citizens that are entirely dependent on the energy suppliers to use their own energy for day time.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The arrangements for the solar receiver will be made. The application of the shiny and reflecting surface for the reflection of the solar rays is will be done. The solar receiver (reflector) is necessary equipment for the direction of solar rays on to the boiler for heating of the water. The Fresnel lens is considered in order to provide heat to the boiler. The steam engine/steam turbine will be made. We have made different models of turbines in order to obtain efficient generation through the steam turbine. Arrangement of storage tank for the water is made along with its connections with the boiler to limit the flow of water into the boiler.
