Deep Learning based Console for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryOur main task is todevelop an approach with the help of which we can provide an adaptive and friendly learning environment to the person facing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To achieve this, we have decided to adapt a Virtual Assistant (VA) which with the help of an Artificially Intelligent system will adapt to different communication or interaction techniques. The virtual assistant will be able to deliver and receive commands to the user. Perform different digital tasks required by the user.
Project ObjectivesThe achievement to be accomplished by this task is to start an establishment for people confronting Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- to assist them with procuring abilities in their particular space of lacking
- to allow them an opportunity to dominate correspondently to a conventional degree of learning.
todevelop an approach with the help of which we can provide an adaptive and friendly learning environment to the person facing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To achieve this, we have decided to adapt a Virtual Assistant (VA) which with the help of an Artificially Intelligent system will adapt to different communication or interaction techniques. The virtual assistant will be able to deliver and receive commands to the user. Perform different digital tasks required by the user.
The next step is to develop software which will help them in acquiring principle knowledge related to some common courses, such as Mathematics, English etc. To achieve this, we have planned to develop various games which will use curriculum that is used by institutions to teach autistic students but will be presented to the individual in such a way that they will gain understanding from the software, as well as unlock the doors of creativity.
The previous description was about the software, but putting hardware into account. A console will also be designed with a CPU (can be a microcontroller, raspberry pi which will tentatively be decided afterwards), a camera to monitor the presence and movement of the user, microphone for receiving speech commands and a controller. The final product will resemble to a gaming console, widely used by people nowadays. This console will be plugged into a Television set, an LED or an LCD, to showcase its optimal use for interactive learning for an Autistic individual.
Benefits of the ProjectThe milestone to be achieved by this project is to originate a foundation for individuals facing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), to help them acquire skills in their respective area of lacking and to give them a chance to excel correspondently to a traditional level of learning.
