Managing, accommodating people on a large scale has always been a problem for every entity since ages. And since the arrival of Covid-19, applying the necessary SOPs is of the utmost importance. With the help of neural networks, we are going to make an application that counts the number of people in Lahore Garrison Univeristy’s auditorium, assign the individual heads with unique IDs and will let the administrator know the amount of people that are present, how many should be present and whether some specific SOPs are being followed or not.

Project Objectives

We’re presenting a cutting-edge application for our prestigious institute that will allow us to not only apply the standard SOPs but also to manage and regulate people in Lahore Garrison University’s auditorium. This application has the potential to be used in any domain, from academia to health and corporate, as it mainly focuses on identifying the head count of people present in a certain location. In our case the location will be Lahore Garrison University’s auditorium.

Project Implementation Method

The workflow of the application is as mentioned below.

1. It’ll take live video stream.
2. Separate all human objects.
3. The human objects will then be converted and identified.
4. To identify it’ll separate them into frames.
5. In every frame it allocates that object a tag.
6. It keeps that tag track within the range.
7. Count all the allocated tags.
8. Continue tag allocation.
9. It provides the count of empty seats.
10. It shows if the place is overcrowded.

Benefits of the Project

As our topic in hand is very vast, we needed to narrow down our view to come up with a use case that tackles the head count only. In our use case we will be focusing mainly on the amount of people that are present, how many should be present and whether the SOPs are being followed or not. It will drastically automate the management process for Lahore Garrison University.
