Project Area of Specialization Computer ScienceProject Summary ABSTRACTCrops play a vital role in agriculture industry and a country’s economy. Crops are affected by several diseases caused by bacteria, fungi and virus. Identification of these disease timely and curing them is vital to prevent whole crop from destruction.
Agriculture accounts for about 18.9% of Pakistan's GDP and employs about of the labor force [1]. Farmers invest handsome amount of money to grow the crops and help in adding value to the agriculture in Pakistan. During the ripening process crops are exposed to a number of diseases. Farmers are most frequently not known to such diseases, so as a remedy for their crops they ask from their fellow farmers and friends who so ever encountered similar problem and use the same spray as the others suggest, but sometimes the disease is not the same but shows similar symptoms to the disease that others encountered. When the farmers use a disease incompatible spray on crops it results in partial damage of crops. Moreover, sometimes farmers take a diseased sample and take it to a shopkeeper selling the sprays, The Shopkeeper might not suggest the correct dose of the spray so that he can increase his sales.
Solution: To solve this problem, we are designing Android Mobile Application in which user will be able to capture an image of crop leaves then this app will identify the disease and suggest relevant spray for that disease along with dosage information to the user of application.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableIn the initial phase of this project the research papers published on these technologies will be studied and the already implemented systems related to this project will be checked out. After that the methods that are used until now will be studied and the problems present in the currently implemented systems will be identified.
- After the Identification of these problems a solution to solve those problems will be proposed.
- The proposed solutions will then be implemented into the system and the developed system will then be tested using different approaches.
- After the project is successfully been implemented the systems final report will be written and submitted to the Stakeholders.
