Cryptography is not a new science; it has been seen from early times as the sense of privacy is embedded in us. As we entered the networking era, the cyber threats increased day by day. As a result, the fields of cryptography (encrypting the data into unreadable form) and steganography (hiding actual data into a cover file) emerged rapidly. Numerous algorithms were developed using classical method of data encryption and data hiding. But classical techniques are easily decoded by hackers and those are time consuming. Although, modern cryptographic and steganographic algorithms are developed. nowadays, sending confidential data is a difficult task because of third party attacks. Moreover, many organizations are unenthusiastic to use cloud services due to cyber threats. The proposed covert electronic system deals with fore mentioned issues by hybridizing two techniques Converting the simple text into unintelligible form. Hiding the actual data into a cover file e.g. text, image, audio, video, DNA etc. The system will consist of three security layers: - DNA based data encryption
- DNA based steganography
- Image steganography
- The input data will be given to system in text (ASCII) format. The data will be encrypted in DNA digital form using. after that the encrypted data will be inserted into a fake DNA sequence. Lastly that DNA sequence will be hided in a cover image. That stagno image will be sent to the receiver. At the receiving end, an app will be developed, which will extract the actual input message.
- The proposed system would have very low cracking probability because of the DNA based algorithms. The complex structure of DNA is harder to decrypt and it provides high storage capability.
- This project basically makes DNA steganographic algorithm implementation simple and easy for everyone to use it in their work to have better data security. Our final deliverable is a software that takes input, encrypts it, hide it in cover image and decrypt it at receiver end.

The implementation is divided into three stages: - DNA Cryptography:
- The input text (ASCII) message will be converted to binary.
- The binary data will be mapped with 2bit and 4bit mapping and then encrypted to Amino acid form.
- This Amino acid form will be further converted into cipher Amino form using a Cipher algorithm.
- Steganography:
- Hiding the cipher amino form into a reference DNA sequence using insertion technique.
- Hiding the resultant DNA sequence into a cover image.
- Decryption:
- Designing a mobile application for decrypting the information.

This project includes: - A laptop (GTX 1050) with python 3.7 and useful libraries like; tkinter, OpenCV, stegano, PIL, cryptography, Kivy, pyQT, WxPython etc. installed. The user will be asked to enter any textual data he/she wants to be encrypted. Phyton based program will be developed to perform DNA based cryptography and steganography alongside with image steganography.
- A tablet/cellphone which will receive the encrypted data from the PC using internet/Bluetooth. An application will be developed to decrypt the hidden message from an image.
