The idea behind the project is that, a drone would be assembled from a readymade kit and avoidance system would be implemented on it. The algorithm works in such a way that whenever any obstacle is detected from left side the drone must drift towards right while still checking for obstacles at right and same in all four directions. A simple approach for obstacle detection and collision avoidance of an autonomous flying quadcopter using low-cost ultrasonic sensors, Lidar in front and manipulated the receiver’s signals form the ultrasonic sensor which are going to the flight controller chip.
