The purpose of this project develops a web application for the general public awareness of the crime situation in their area. and to provide them crime list. This application will also help the general public to report a crime to a law enforcement agency. This web application will help the public to see the crimes in areas which will help them to track the current situation of their surroundings. In this research, we will suggest some methods for future recommendations that how can law enforcement agencies avoid fake reports which are reported from mobile

Project Objectives

The main purpose of developing the online crime reporting system is for the welfare and safety of the public. Due to some factors in today’s time public sometimes does not trust the government officials, due to this they don’t ever want to go to the station and file a report. So this system will reconstruct the bridge between the two - public and government officials respectively. So now if anyone wants to file a complaint or misconduct, they can do it easily from their home.

Project Implementation Method

System methodology is divided into phases:

Phase-1

             Technology:

                   First, we choosing a technology, which is react-js.

Phase-II

             Workflow: 

           Creating a workflow chart (architecture). which means how the whole project developed step-by-step.

Phase-III

             Frontend design:

                            we use react-js for the frontend.

Phase-1V

             Backend:

                we use firebase for the backend. 

Phase-V

           Testing:

              Testing the functionality of web-app. is it working correctly or not.

Benefits of the Project

The main advantage of on-line application is that, an individual will report the crime anytime from anyplace. Users will read the progress of their grievance on- line. The details of the users/reporters won’t show in public.

1. These applications are creating an important role in the safety of society and awareness of crimes.
2. This project also aims to protect people who accidentally buy an illegal mobile or snatched mobiles.
3. Most mobile users are using smartphones to use health guides, news alerts, and many more applications in their daily life routine. Therefore, a mobile application can be developed to show the locations of crimes and to report crimes.
4. It also helps crime enforcement to monitor much more accurately.
5. Every citizen can know the crime rates.
6. You can see the list of missing persons.
7. People must know what’s going on in their surround.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

• So, if any user has to file a misconduct report, then this is the best system where he/she can file it online through the public portal, where they will first do the registration and then file the report.
• The records are kept stored for further welfare.
• All the criminal or any types of misconduct will be stored and all the detail about the culprit will be there.

• So, in this system, they can know about the criminals and local goons who are always highlighted and be precautious about it.
• In the public portal, they only provide a username so that whenever they log in again they do not have to do this again and again and their profile is created after the registration and is stored.

Both the government organization and the user can add any incident or accident or any offensive attempt which is violating the law.
