When the mechanical load is applied to induction motor the speed of the motor reduces so as to maintain the constant RPM of the rotor closed loop speed control method is implemented in this project. The variable frequency drive changes the input frequency and hence the speed on varying load.
Project ObjectivesFollowing are the obkectives of this project :
To maintain the constant RPM of the motor on varying load.
To design and implement closed feedback loop.
To control the speed of the motor.
To control the torque of the motor.
To analyze the speed torque variation by designing the model on MATLAB/SIMULINK.
Project Implementation MethodThis project uses the variable frequency drive method which changes the input frequency to control the motor speed.
This method is implemented in closed loop so the continuous feedback is taken of the motor speed to maintain constant RPM on variable load.
