Our Project is an online takeaway application. A user selects the items they want from stores near their location and then comes to a centerilized point for collection. Their we would have picked the order from the seller(s) and brought it to our collection point for pickup.

Our Project is an online takeaway application. A user selects the items they want from stores near their location and then comes to a centerilized point for collection. Their we would have picked the order from the seller(s) and brought it to our collection point for pickup. 

Project Objectives

The objective of this application is to take the best of both worlds from online and conventional shopping. This application takes the convenience of ordering items from your home, the reliability and dependability of conventional shopping. Having the help of reviews the buyer can decide which store to do business with and which product to buy as previous customers would give their opinions on both the product and experience, they had with that particular seller. This application is also focused on helping small local businesses who do not have their own dedicated online stores to expand their outreach to a greater number of customers. Adding to this, the seller can even use a warehouse and run his business as he would only need to dispatch his products. Keeping efficiency in mind the concept of making the customer pick up their own order is so that the customer does not have to wait days to get their order. The orders are packed by the sellers and sent to one centralized location for pickup.

Project Implementation Method

The project will be implemented on a mobile device. We will use flutter as our front end user interface and at the backend we will use Google Firebase. Using both Google developed technologies will enable a soomther syncronization process and will have better support.

This new medium for business has brought benefits for the sellers:
• The ability to sell to a bigger clientele.
• Since there will be less customers inside the store there would be less chances of theft.
• More space could be used to stock products inside the store as less people would have to come in.
• Stores who do not have a proper POS terminal will have a way to track their orders.
• The sellers will not have to deal with damaged products during shipping.
• The sellers will also be saved from fraudulent returns.
• The sellers will have a track of their inventory.

Benefits for buyers
The buyers will have the benefits of:
• Getting their orders on the same day they placed it.
• Will be able to examine and check the products they are about to purchase prior to paying.
• Getting their order in a centralized location rather than going through multiple shops.
• Instantly compare prices from different stores run time to get instant cost estimate.
• Look at the reviews prior to purchase to see the integrity of the seller.
