The system consists of an Arduino Microcontroller, Global Positioning System (GPS) module, Ultrasonic Sensors, Node Microcontroller Unit (MCU), Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR) and IP cameras. The GPS module provides location of the car in real time. The ultrasonic sensors monitor the safe distance of the car from other object. The FSR senses shock of certain level observed by the car. The IP cameras take images of front and back of the car. The information of these sensors is received at the Arduino microcontroller. The microcontroller transfers the information to the smartphone using the Node MCU. The smartphone user will be able to remotely monitor the car.
Project Objectives- Real time monitoring of the car in an efficient way.
- Live location and image/video of the car are available on a smartphone.
- Live notification to the user in case of any damage or theft of the car.
The project is developed using the Arduino and Node MCU microcontroller. Different sensors like GPS module, ultrasonic sensor, FSR and IP Cameras are mounted on the car. The Arduino microcontroller receives information from these sensors in real time and transmits the same information to the smartphone using the Node MCU. The Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is used to program the microcontroller. An android based application is developed which displays the received information and is available remotely to the user.
