Project Summary

This project named as 'car courier' is a web site for car rental system which is based on Machine Learning. The role of Machine Learning in this project is to recommend cars to users according to their search for specific car.

There are already various online car renting websites but they lack the feature of recommendation system which is much beneficial for customers booking a car online.

Companies can register themselves and add their cars to database which will be searched and booked by customers. Admin on the other side will manage car addition and company registration by validating the credentials provided to secure system from any fraudulent act.

Project Objectives

The main objective of this project is to provide users, which include both customers and companies, are:

• A reliable and trustworthy online plateform 
• Car Recommendation for Customers using Machine Learning
• Secure and Authentic way for companies to list and manage their Cars for booking

Project Implementation Method

This is a web based project and has well defined User Interface and Backend for Recommendation purpose.

We have developed Front-End of this project first which is created by using HTML,CSS,JavaScript Language. After Front-End has been developed we created Database which stores information related to customers, company, booked cars and admin. After Database has been created we have connected web to database using PHP language.

We have dataset for Recommendation purpose from various sources which includes pakwheels, olx. This Dataset is preprocessed and a recommendation model is trained using Python Language and this model is integrated with the website for recommendation of cars.

• Easy way for companies to boost their business by listing their cars on our website
• Car Recommendation for customers which is the most essential part of project

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This project aims to provide online platform for renting a car and final product will be a web-based software.

Technical Details of the project are:

• Admin Panel will used to validate cars and companies to encounter fraudulent act and have complete information of the rental system
• Customer after searching for a car will get recommendations of car which is done by machine learning
• Companies can registered and they can list and delete there cars.
