Different organizations are making such card reader applications or devices by using multiple different platforms which are available for them to develop such things in limited amounts of time periods. Many organizations use different types of hardware to develop useful and interesting things which people will like to use in their daily life. We can easily find market gaps in this area which I still available for the people who can fill them and help the people by making their life much easier and more efficient.
Project ObjectivesWe want to make this system for storing basic information easily and fulfill our required criteria. Organization can be used in low scale projects as it now although through some modification can be used for storing information as there is a big issue of information collection in Pakistan. According to the survey. This system reduces the insecurity of missing data and also saves resources this system can automate the information system at a very low cost and durability is also a measure to be considered and it is less time-consuming than manual. Its maintenance cost is very low as of its products according to cost to benefit ratio and also installation cost is also very and through some modification is can be used for many organization and covering a huge area of collection information easily with low effort moreover it is innovating and time-saving solution. For the creation of this business card reader software, we are using the language of C# and text reading from the image we are using python libraries. This concept is called Machine Learning.
Project Implementation MethodUsing OCR optical character recognition, we extract all information written above, there are some clues for OCR to find specific fields. starting from email, every email contains one special character which is “@” if this special character is mentioned in the business card, OCR takes the whole line as email address, now moved to find the website, if www is mentioned it means it should be the website of the company, first and last name cane also is verified from an email address, between "@” and “.com” mostly organization name is mentioned, to find out designation we have to create a new text file. For number extraction, OCR has to check some prefixes like “Off” “Main” “FAX” “Cell” “Mobile” or “Tel” short form of telephone. After defining all fields we have to put business card hard copy into the scanner, webcam, or maybe scan by mobile phone camera to take its image, then software using OCR convert picture into a grayscale image this process improves quality to identify text, after that software will remove background to detect borders of the card, once the background is removed foreground detect the edges, then the image process for the boundary detection is performed by dilating it so that white pixel get closer and regions can be detected. Then OCT completes the text classification, then it read the whole business card, and then stores it into a database that can be a query as output.
Benefits of the ProjectAs we discussed before the technology era, Business cards help everyone to improve their communication through easy data room by scanning those cards from which we save the information. In the future, I’d like to enlighten some astonishing points of this proposal are · Easy to share information. · Establish Personal Linking. · Inexpensive. · Use Mobile as a scanning device. · With Media attached. · Store information in relatable fields. · Last impression on a client. · Less physical Contact. · Maintain Social Distance. These are our future goals to make communication more opportune for the people who are willing to use the software more than handle the physical cards. It is also used on a large scale at a bargain and is very economy friendly too. It also provides companies a great way to create an incensement of their consumers/customers so they can easily contact them whenever they want something from the provider.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableBusiness card readers are safer than their partners as they use encryption and verification innovation. This is safer than past techniques related to installment cards. Business card reader software is more reliable for any organization. It has 5 many features that can scan the business card in good quality and text recognition is very clear and separate all fields in one document. This application is easy to install on any device. This application software does not need any other expensive devices. We can install this application on any android phone which we are using in a common life this is why it’s a less costly application. The design of the model is very compact as the components and whole software are chosen to keep compactness in mind, a compact model is easier to move near and is very useful for the clients.
