It has different buildings(blocks) for different activities and each block has large number of rooms, that are used for different purposes as offices, labs, washrooms (male and female), kitchens for staff, sessions halls, common room for females and more. Not only these, BUITEMS also has different building for different teachings for outsiders such as JICA building, NIC, etc. and has different cafeterias in different locations as well as different areas for sports related activities.
therefore, for students (especially new), newly appointed employees and outsiders finding exact office, room no, and different HR offices, having any query to be answered, surfing BUITEMS website for specific task etc, is a tough job and hard to find. Therefore, there must be system required that helps and overcome to these problems.
The project “BUITEMS Smart Voice Assistant” will provide an opportunity to students, newly appointed employees and outsiders who have difficulties facing problems in finding teachers offices, masjid location, cafeteria, stationary, Seminar Halls and etc, or having queries like “where is Sir Bilal’s office?”, “Where is BUITEMS health center?”,” Jinnah Town Bus Timings” and etc. So, to overcome to these problems we can build an android app that would simply work using voice commands and will help its users to locate any desired Class, Teacher Office, Labs and etc.
We live in modern times where technology plays a vital role in the development of every
society and institution alike. Our university is an institute of Information Technology but still use the old conventional way of providing information. which is hectic and time consuming for
all students, teachers or other individuals inside BUITEMS.
Students also face difficulty finding their class location through the faculty timetable. They
have difficulty finding offices of their respective faculty members and also have a hard time
finding their bus timings. So, we thought why not make an effective
and helpful system for the ease of BUITEMS so it won’t need to deal with
all those hassles, thanks to our supervisor ‘Dr. Ahthesham Sajid who is helping us implement this idea which will be quite beneficial for this Institution of ours.

- Labs and Seminar Halls Location for the Students.
- BUITEMS outsiders related buildings and lab’s location for visitors.
- BUITEMS main buildings, grounds, cafeterias etc location for the students/visitors.
- Buses routes morning/noon/afternoon timings for the students.
The Project BUITEMS Smart Voce Assistant will be an android based application.

“Android Based Buitems Smart Voice Assistant” is aimed to provide following benefits.
1. This project would help students/faculty/admin to make their life in Buitems easy by smart navigation feature using voice command.
2. Using this application will save a lot of time for user.
3. The project will help introduce people to the use of smart voice technology and prepare them for the future smart applications (smart home, city, etc) .
