The Biometric system referred to automatic identification and verification of employees based on his/her finger print. The project will help the organization to maintain the attendance of the employees. Now days, existence of biometric highlighted as the authentication method because of the need for consistent security. Finger print authentication is most popular way for identification of the employees. Employees will be able to view their attendance. Administration will be able to manage to record of the employees. this system covers the requirements of every department in terms of day to day monitoring of staffs. The attendance system will calculate the monthly attendance of employee so that there will be no error occur while calculating the attendance and calculation of overtime and related information Whenever you mark the attendance an email or text message will be sent to your email and mobile about your attendance. This web based system developed for those employees who will view about their attendance. Now a day’s biometric system functioning is becoming well-known day by day. Biometric sensors used to capture the biometric component of an individual person. Biometric sensor based on attendance system. Sensors are used for two purposes. Firstly, sensors used to capture biometric data to be stored patterns. After that each pattern identified the equivalent name or ID of employees. All of the patterns stored in database for comparison with new biometric data captured subsequently. When employee started his job in the organization he needs to register himself in the organization and need to stored his finger in the database to register himself. In order to mark attendance to identify each student must be recognized. Hence, new biometric data captured and compared to the compared to record the correct name, date, and time of those employees who are present on the current day. So purpose of our project is based on biometric based attendance when employees mark attendance through finger print then get notification through SMS and Email immediately about attendance.

Project Objectives

The project will accomplish the following objectives.

• To automate the leaves (short leave, casual leave, earned leave, monthly leave) of employees.
• To automate the timing of employees.
• To provide interactive user interface for admin, faculty and chairperson.
• To provide interactive record for updating.

Project Implementation Method

1. Biometric Device

It is used to store the pattern of the finger and will be used to mark the attendance of the employee.

2.Arduino:

It is used to get the notification of details of the attendance through Email and SMS.
