It is a tool for establishing confidence that one is dealing with individuals who are already known (or not known)—and consequently that they belong to a group with certain rights (or to a group to be denied certain privileges). It relies on the presumption that individuals are physically and behaviorally distinctive in a number of ways.
Biometric systems are used increasingly to recognize individuals and regulate access to physical spaces, information, services, and to other rights or benefits, including the ability to cross international borders. The motivations for using biometrics are diverse and often overlap. They include improving the convenience and efficiency of routine access transactions, reducing fraud, and enhancing public safety and national security. The system is the combination of ICs, sensors, wires, boards and other electrical equipments .

The proposed system applies integrated security processing and introduces the verification.This system also involves authentication without passwords performing either bar code reading or finger print reading. The plotting technique is proposed to avoid fake fingerprint impressions.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverable will be able to take input in the form of thumb impression via biometric sensor then
- it will match the input with the model built using code
- then, enables the ICs and other components of the system to function against the valid input.
- As a result, the lock or any other form of lock(tangible or intangible) to be opened.
