When it comes to billing we are not aware this fact that which appliances/devices consumed energy the most.
we have development in the Energy Meter. An initial amount comfortable for the User is given as an input to the system, daily usage of electricity is measured for the complete day through this consumer will able manage their equipment or appliances to their requirement accordingly. This may also help them to reduces consumption and wastage of energy. We have calculated the consumed amount of energy on per day or per hour basis by taking load as input and then calculate the reading of current and voltage in order to improve the efficiency of energy.
Project Objectives The major object of this project is basically to measure energy consumption of load. Our project will mainly focus on the following objectives:1. It can control and measures loads.
2. It takes reading, calculate the consumption and then predict the bill.
3. The user can easily know the monthly demotic bill.
- To achieve the first goal, it will be measuring the load (the amount of energy being consumed) in home as an input.
- To achieve the second goal, it will calculate the amount of current and voltage.
- To achieve our third goal, user will give input, system will calculate consumption.
The system principally monitors electrical parameters of household appliances such as voltage, current and subsequently calculates the power consumed for the complete day so that the user can have awareness of the consumptions which is being used daily and the tariff and it will be helpful to maintain the electricity bill to their requirement. Good quality equipment consume less electricity. These facts can be evaluated and also be automated using this project.
- This system could be used in domestic and commercial building for controlling their loads, for knowing their consuming power.
- By using this system, the user can easily know the monthly demotic bill and manage of their loads
- This system is more compact, more efficient and less costly as compared to other systems.
The benefit of this project is basically to measure energy consumption of load. The system accepts two way reading, per hours reading or per day reading. It also monitors electrical pulses and calculates the unit consumption. For the billing purpose the system then uses the cost of each unit to calculate the electricity cost and also user manage the breaker to on off condition..
Technical Details of Final Deliverablewe use raspberry for two way communication, and we arduino for analog reading..we integrate raspberry pi and arduino for analog reading, we also use ct meter for calculation amphere reading..we create voltage module for AC voltage reading...and we also use GSM module for transferring the data to server.
