Autonomous Tour Guiding Robot
Now a days we are moving towards an era of self-driving cars that capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human efforts. Perusing this in mind we aim
to create an automatic tour guiding robot which will be capable of moving in aparticular direction specified to it but will not involve any human efforts in it. As the robot moves it tells us about the places that the robot is passing by so that if any visitor comes to a new place he or she can visit it to get the most of it.
We will create a model of roads and buildings such as parks hospitals malls etc. according to which the robot will be trained. The robot will be based on aurdino or resberry pie as the central processing device with the help of various sensors and embedded algorithms such that it can be user friendly system and esay for any one to use without less training and requirements.
The robot will use certain algorithms from artificial intelligence and digital image processing for the purpose of moving on road from point to point and identifying the places through image of the buildings and delivering the information to users.
Our goal is to reduce the hindrances in travelling that people face when travelling to a new place for visiting. This robot will provide an on time information about the places that it is passing by and it can be implemented in self-driving cars to make
the tours more fluent and enjoyable for the people.
The final deliverable product will be a automated robot that will be navigating us in our tours by helping us detecting our enviroment through which we are passing by. It will detect the surroundings at the same time when it is moving around in such a way that a tour guider speaks and tells us about the places we are visiting. This can be a revolutionary idea in the transportation and tourism.
