Project Summary

This project proposes a very simple prototype which is able to replace an actual ventilator "for full-term and pre-term neonates".Neonates often struggle to breathe at the time of their birth.We have applied principles of mechatronics to propose an autonomous yet affordable ventilator design that will target hospitals of village areas specifically and work with least human involvement.

Project Objectives

To design an affordable,simple and requiring least human interaction design ventilator that specifically targets urban hospitals that cannot afford mechanical ventillator.

Project Implementation Method

Designing of Pneumatic System,Interfacing with microcontroller and pressure sensors followed by manufacturing and testing of prototype.
