Not only voice commands but also a joystick is provided with wheelchair which helps the patient to move independently. Sometimes patient has some throat problem or he has some issue with his neck and not able to speak that’s why a joystick is provided which can move wheelchair freely in all direction automatically without any hard effort.
In Pakistan energy is a big issue. The wheelchair we have proposed has solar tracking plates. Sunlight based energy is spotless and accessible in wealth. Sunlight based advancements utilize the sun for arrangement of warmth, light and power. The vitality capability of the sun is gigantic.When it comes to the development of any nation, energy is the main driving factor.Solar panels directly convert radiation from the sun into electrical energy. The level to which the efficiency is improved will depend on the efficiency of the tracking system and the weather. Very efficient trackers will offer more efficiency because they are able to track the sun with more precision.
We proposed GPS based navigational aid services. GPS, or worldwide situating framework, is a satellite-based route framework.Anybody with a GPS collector can utilize it free of cost. The framework works much like radio route.
Project ObjectivesThe objectives of this project are :
- Identify suitable general wheel chair for the usage of handicap people.
- Redesign the wheelchair by adjusting solar tracking plates for charging the battery
- Implement and program voice recognition kit for disabled person.
- Interface joystick with hardware for better performance.
- Attach Android/IOS installed devices for navigational aid.
Following are the stages for implementation of the Project:
- Comprehensive study of Wheelchair components, Voice recognition module, Solar tracking plates and Android/IOS Navigational applications.
- A proposed algorithm for voice recognition module .
- Testing of module using Arduino and DC motors.
- Modelling, simulation, and prototyping
- Working on the Solar tracking plates and algorithm to detect automatically sun maximum intensity angle.
- Interface DC motors and 7 Ampere Dry cell rechargeable battery with Wheelchair.
- Joystick module for alternating commanding source.
- Attach Android /IOS device with installed version of real time navigational application.
- Interface all parts i.e. voice recognition module, solar tracking plates and Android/IOS Navigational applications with wheelchair.
- Customization of wheelchair includes extra space for rleaxing of back body, spacious drawers for day to day vitely used things, emergency medicine drawer, torch light for night travelling, High visibility backview to avoid accidents, handfrees, mobile charging port, tablet charging port.
