The title of our project suggests it is a bike parking system that is supported by chains and sprockets, our mechanical system could be DC powered and PLC controlled.
As we have a look at our major markets, shopping malls, downtown area’s, offices or even educational institutions there is a greater need of these automatic parking systems so that we can minimize the area occupied by vehicles.
Our objective is to design a mechanical system which would occupy lesser area and provide more parking space to avoid congestion on roads and parking lots.
This system is designed to save the time of people which is spent looking for a parking space and to address parking space issue.
A system that is innovative and more secure. Our aim is to design a high quality and cost effective system.
Project Implementation MethodThe present project work is aimed to develop a scale down working model of a bike parking system which will reduce the excess use of land space. The chain and sprocket mechanism is used for driving the parking platform. This total prototype is powered by a DC motor. This model also uses a RFID tag and reader. When the car comes on ramp the switch will be activated and the pallet comes to carry the vehicle. When the switch will be operated by operator, sprockets start to rotate and the new space will be adjusted for new bike.

2.No caretaker, key pressing operation.
3.High safety, completer inspection device, stable and reliable.
4.It will reduce congestion and provide more parking lots in minimum area.
4. It will improve parking standards and help our government to improve traffic flow in market areas.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable1. Our basic purpose to develop this system is to refuce conjection and provide more parking space in minimum area.
2. Fuel consumption will be decreased by applying this system.
3. We can improve our market infrastructures.
4. Safety of bikes will be improved by using this kind of systems.
