Automatic Rail Ordering and Serving System (AROSS) tends to provide support for restaurants to serve customers effectively and facilitate them in a unique way. Currently, the "restaurant ordering and serving" system used by restaurants to take orders and serve their customer is manual, by using this project restaurant will be able to take orders from customers from their tables and serve their orders at their tables in a unique way through a train. In manual cases, prospective guests have to wait endlessly on queue before their orders can be taken by customer service providers (waiters), while using this system, customer orders by using embedded system provided at their tables without any wait, and can also view the order status (i.e. remaining delivery time) using same system. This system assists management to take decisive business decision to cut down capital expenditure on food and drinks.

Project Objectives
  1. To provide ease to customers (i.e. ordering without any lag.)
  2. To improve the customer services of the restaurants, like speed of serving, auto ordering system etc 
  3. To reduce the expenses faced by restaurants in shape of waiters and increases the sale. 
  4. To helps the customers to view the status of the order and remaining serving time.  
Project Implementation Method

Our project consist on two major parts:

  1. Software  

      2. Hardware 

Benefits of the Project
  1. Customer can order without any lag of time.
  2. Provide ease to customer (i.e. Tip charges, order’s status). 
  3. Improve the speed of serving.
  4. Automatic bill generation.
  5. Decrease the expenses of the restaurant. 
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
  1. Customers will place order by tablet using cloud hosting.
  2. The order will send to the counter by cloud hosting.
  3. The customers view thier bill at tablet and then pay it on counter.
  4. After payment verification, order will send to kitchen by cloud hosting.
  5. After complition of order, order will place at train by cook.
  6. The user will send ir signal to the train by using ir remote, as well as send command to servo motors through arduino to complete the track.
  7. The train will run with the help of motor driver and bistable multivibrator.
  8. And train will stop at the desired destination by using bistable mode.
  9. The customer place their order on their table.
  10. At last, customer press the button on the train and train come back (by using bistable mode) to its initial position.
