Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummaryThe project will allow a user to adjust their driving seat to their specific driving needs and their unique seat adjustments. Majority people in our country have one car and multiple drivers use that same car. The car that they use still implement manuallay adjusting the driver's seat.
This project will bridge the gap between a driver sitting inside the car and setting their seat everytime it has changed. The driver's seat will be adjusted according to the user that is going to use the car. Making this basic task of driving a car, hassle free for the driver.
Project ObjectivesThe project objectives are:
- Android app for the users
- A hardware system that adjusts the driver's seat
- Capability of saving the user's seat data to get it perfect everytime
- Adjusting the seat within an acceptable time
- Providing the user with a seat suggestion according to their height
The method that we implore to use is:
- Using the phone's bluetooth capability to connect with the system
- User's phone will send the details via bluetooth to the main system
- The hardware system will then adjust the seat according to the data being recieved
- The hardware system will send signal to a DC motor to adjust the driver's seat accordingly
Benefits of this project are:
- It bridges the gap of getting in the car, adjusting the seat and driving off
- Reducing the time it takes to adjust the seat manually
- Making drivers more aware of the adjustment by providing a seat suggestion for them according to their height
- Reducing the effect of on a human body due to improper seat adjustment
Technical Details are as follow:
- A complete working Android app
- An integrated system of hardware with the bluetooth module
- A motor system for adjusting the seat
- Seamless connectivity across all these platforms to elimate the manual input of the user
