Project Summary

This project prompts a car which is having a sensor, with the help of Sensor and instructions it will stop the car if there is any obstacle comes in front of it. Vehicles are increasing worldwide and becoming a necessity of life, due to increase in vehicles accidents are also increasing day by day through which we lose very precious lives, most of the accidents are happened because of the mistake of humans, pressing brakes late or less attention, to avoid these accidents we are going to create an Automatic braking system which will brake the car whenever an obstacle or an object will come in its way, this will help in increasing the safety and provide a better driving experience and luxury. We are going to make this brake with the help of sensors and microprocessors. We are going to use Ultrasonic Sensors through which we are going to sense the distance of an obstacle or object coming in our way with its ultrasonic waves which can't be heard by human beings, it will send it's waves towards the object and will receive the waves coming back from the objects and with the help of waves it will measure the proper distance, then we are going to need a microprocessor which can identify what to do when the object is getting near us or we are getting near to need, to make it possible we are going to use Arduino, a microprocessor used to build different devices, through Arduino we are going to provide basic instruction that what to do next, also we are going to use 4 motors, motor driver and Servo motor to control the motors which we attached on the wheels of the car and a basic car. With the help of these, we are going to make an amazing car with Automatic brakes which will detect the object and will stop itself.

Project Implementation Method

Following are items used in our project:

Arduino Microcontroller

Ultra Sonic sensor

Motor Processor

Servo motor

Batteries

4 DC motors Tires

In this project we use Batteries to provide power to the Arduino, Arduino to provide instructions to the Motor- processor so it can control, Motor-processor gives the command to the Servo motor to move the Ultrasonic, at the same time gives the command to Ultrasonic to check if there is any obstacle is in front of it or not if there is no obstacle in front of the car, the Motor-processor command the 4-DC motors to move forward, DC motors are attached with Tires, so the whole car starts moving forward, if there is any obstacle in front of the car then the Motor-processor commands the car to stop. Then Motor-processor commands the Servo motor to rotate the Ultrasonic to check if there is any obstacle on the left or right, if there isn’t then start moving towards the way where the road is clear.

Benefits of the Project

The benefit of the Project:

This car can save lives, save car and accidents and a huge amount of money loss, it provides luxury, 90% of the car incidents happen on highways or roads are due to the less attention of the driver, so it will stop the car itself if the obstacle comes closer.
