Project Summary

This project composes of Hybrid Energy Storage Unit and Semiconductor coolers.The main apparatus used in our project is semiconductor based peltier plates having two surfaces for its operation Heating / Cooling depending upon polarity.

Our  project is user based interface where temperature of a room can be mantained to desired temperature setting automatically.

Cooling / Heating of a system is power by Automated Hybrid Energy Storage Unit. Solar and Utility both power sources will be used.

Project Objectives

Development of a furnished product having following features

  1. Mantaining Room temperature to desired Settings.
  2. Hybrid Energy Storage Unit.
  3. Interfacing both Solar and Wapda.
  4. Decision based Optimization Algorithm.

Project Implementation Method

We used  two level implementation in our project.

  1. Hardware Level Implementation.
  2. Software Level Implementation.

Hardware Level Implementation:

  1. Power Converters.
  2. Battery Charger.
  3. Peltier Module.
  4. Relays.
  5. PIC Micro-Controller.
  6. Solar Panel.
  7. Batteries.

Software Level Implementation.

  1. User Required Temperature.
  2. Wapda Level (DC) After Rectification.
  3. Solar Voltage Level.
  4. Battery Level.
  5. Current Room Temperature.
  6. Heating / Cooling.

  • Reduce Dependance on Utility Power source for Solid State Coolers.
  • Automated , Noiseless 24/7 Cooling & Heating.
