This portal will be specially designed and developed for students and faculty of Departments of Computer Science and Software Engineering of ABBOTTABAD UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. This portal will help the students to perform tasks like viewing their courses , course teachers , final results , transcripts , attendances of all courses , and marks of their assignments and quizzes. It will also help the faculty to add marks, and attendances of their courses and view their courses of different classes in which he/she enrolled. While there will be one dashboard for admin who can manage whole system.

Project Objectives

To Design a scalable university management system initially for department of Information Technology for ABBOTTABAD UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, This fyp is chosen to solve the problems which the student of university/specially AUST faced. This university management system will facilitate all students and faculty throughout the program. The system will be a web app where all students , faculty and Admin can login by using there credentials, and can use their dashboard in this web app. Admin can add, delete , update students or faculty and can upload results, fee details , transcripts and other necessary info about students and faculty. students can see their results, attendance , courses, teachers, transcripts, fee records and can also apply for leaves and all other necessary things will included.. faculty can add attendance, marks, assignments, quizzes , tasks, and can also see their own time tables and other necessary things will included.

Project Implementation Method

We developed our product using the software development life cycle. In the development of our product, we use the Agile model. The Agile model is a model of SDLC which is a combination of two process models incremental and iterative. CMS is developed on the basis of incremental process model of the Agile model which allows the user to divide the large project into different parts/ modules. In the incremental model the versions/parts of the system are delivered to the user after a regular interval of time, to get feedback from the user that is it cleared or he/she want any more changes in the given module. If the user wants any type of change in the product then it is possible through the incremental model. After the decided time each new part of the product is developed and delivered to the user and then at the end when all parts are developed, all modules/parts are combined in a way to develop Software Requirements Specification for the full product to deliver to the user in the form of finished/complete application as user’s requirements. Communication between client and developer is an important part of the agile model. The product will fulfill the user’s requirement in the case when there is maximum communication between developer and client so the application will be more accurate. The finished product should accept the changes in the future.

Benefits of the Project

This system is specially for the students of Departments of Computer Science and Software Engineering to help them view their progress right on the dashboard of web app, this software will also benefit faculty to add marks , attendances and view their courses. The system will have admin dashboard where admin can perform tasks like Register students , assign courses , search and view students records and will have control on the whole system. The basic aim of this project is to develop a system which can benefit the students to view their progress like results , attendances. This is also the goal of our system to benefit students. The main goal of university is to provide their students modern facilities like portal to benefit their students so this project will be helpful for University/Organization to achieve their goal

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Students: • Students can login by using their credentials , and can also logout. • Students can only login to view their progress like results , transcripts , attendance , courses , course instructors and their previous history. Faculty: • Faculty can login by using their credentials , and can also logout. • Faculty can add assignments , quizzes , internal , external marks and can add a attendances of their students. • Faculty can view their enrolled courses. Admin: Admin can control the whole system and can do the tasks like. • Register students. • Register faculty. • Register class to program • Courses allotment. • Enrolled students to courses. • Check past history. • Search and view student and faculty • View results of single students and whole class
