25% of the world’s population is affected by anemia. Anemia is caused by an iron deficiency and affects the body by causing exhaustion and in severe cases organ damage. In Pakistan a majority of the population living in rural areas suffer from anemia. Poverty, a lack of education and poor diet all contribute to the high prevalence of this condition. Furthermore, lack of access to medical facilities and trained professionals leads to this condition not being diagnosed effectively and on time. Pregnant women and children are especially vulnerable to this condition. Our proposed system will allow users to take a selfie of their palpebral conjunctiva using their smartphone camera and will then give an estimation of their hemoglobin level using machine learning models.
1. Our proposed system will enable users to efficiently and effectively get an estimation of their hemoglobin count using a non invasive technique.
2. The system will be user friendly and cost effective especially with prevalence of smartphone usage in Pakistan.
3. Proposed will allow users to monitor their condition by maintaining a user history, which will help medical professionals in providing a better diagnoses as well as treatment and care.
4. Our system will provide a diet plan that will help users to improve their hemoglobin levels.

The benefits of this system will be that the rural health workers can use it to get an estimation of patients hemoglobin levels’ during their visit. Users will also be able to maintain a history of their hemoglobin levels so that when they visit a doctor they can share their results and obtain a better diagnoses. Economic benefits of using this system will be timely diagnosis and treatment of this condition. This in turn will lower medical cost and long term disabilities for the users.
We will develop an android application that will allow users to take selfie of their palpebral conjuctiva and estimate Haemoglobin levels.
We will also develop an admin module to maintain logs and history of every subject. This admin module will be web based application.
