Project Summary

.Notice board is the most comman and primary apparatus in any institution.this project deals with a wireless notice board. To develop a wirelesss notice board that display message sent form the users mobile.The notice board is an LCD display interfaced to a microcontroller(Arduino). Wireless notice board is very selective term for this project, as it has a very wide scope rather than just being a simple notice board. In this system we can display a message or notice to some display device like LCD, and this message can be easily set or changed from anywhere in the world, just by using thefacility of your mobile handset. Whatever notice we want to display, just send the SMS of that text, with some prefix and suffix. In this project, the development of Android based wireless notice board is presented. The proposed system uses GSM based wireless serial data communication. For this purpose Android based application programs between Android based personal digital assistant devices and remote wireless display board are used. At receiver end, a microcontroller board (Arduino UNO) is programmed to receive and display messages in of the above communication mode. The developed system will therefore aims in wirelessly sharing the information with intended users and also helps in saving the time and the cost for paper and printing hardware.

Project Objectives

• .A manual operation is required to update the information in the notice board day to day. It is time consuming method. The main aim of this paper is to replace the conventional board in to electronic display board. Software like embedded c for programming is used to control. Microcontroller if the information is displayed electronically it would reduce the usage of paper by communication is efficient and faster
• The develped system will aims in wirelessly sharing the information with intented users also helps in saving time and the cost for the paper and printing hardware.

Project Implementation Method

• This Project consists of a 6*6 PCB packed in glass Box and fixed behind the LCD. The VGA Cable  is connecting LCD to the glass box, which cotains our final PCB board Cotroller and GSM Module installed over it. The LCD is mounted or fixed on the main wall of the department and showing the result.

Benefits of the Project

• Notice board is the one of the best medium to communicate with the mass media. Notice board are commonly used at the public utility places android application provides security to the system. The control unit comprises of a display the Arduino board this smart notice board can be used in many applications including educational institutions,traffic signals,banks,public places like busstops and railway stations.
   
• Notice boards are one of the widely used oned ranging fom primary schools to major organizations to convey message at large.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

• Operating system like CPUs, Computers are replaced by a 8-bit controller which is receiving and dislaying message on LCD screen.
• The developed project wireless notice board that displays messages sent from the user’s mobile.when a user sends a message,it is received by a SIM inserted in GSM at the receiver unit.
