AI Human Collaborated Fashion Designer
Our project will be generating new unseen dress designs on the basis of old designs with the help of AI-based technique called Style-GANS which was introduced by NVIDIA last year. The generated dress designs will be unique as it will be extracting some features from the old designs. The model will first train an AI model to randomly generate a large amount of sewing patterns, then selected a few designs based on their tastes and likes and finally assembles dress prints and other materials to reaalize the design.
The objective of our proposed work is to reduce the burden of dress designers and cut down their time consuming tasks from drawing the basic design on paper to implementing it practically. This might take a huge amount of money as well. Our model will assist in reducing the amount of hard-work and time the designers put in designing the dresses with the help of AI-based technique called Style-GANs which will automatically generate design patterns.
We have divided our project into the following five phases:
1- Data Collection:
First of all, we will be collecting some dress design dataset from various websites and approching designer's outlet as sample data to train our model.
2- Algorithm Learning:
In this phase, we will be applying various techniques of data preprocessing and augmentation. We will also prepare code to train our model.
3- Model Training:
In this phase, we will train our model on GPUs or required to move on cloud to use Amazon Web Services for online GPU's resources.
4- Evaluating Model's Result:
In this phase, we will further train our model to increase the image's resolution and for more efficient learning.
5- Fine Tuning Model:
Finally, at this stage, we will change some hyperparameters to produce high-pixelated result.
This project can bring a tremendous change in the fashion industry of Pakistan. Its a fact that AI is gradually changing the world and is almost reshaping every field, but still its not so common in fashion industry especially in Pakistan. This sort of work is unique and has not been done before in Pakistan. Moreover, this project can be useful to many fashion designers as it aims to reduce their workload to a great extent.
Our project will be delivering dress designs as output as the final deliverables. The dress designs will be generated by our model as a result of training.
