Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryIn this project, we will be developing an intelligent Design expert system for Robotic Manipulators. The system will utilize MATLAB libraries containing models of different components of the Robot such as motors, links, gears, etc. An AI-based algorithm suggests a possible robotic manipulator by choosing appropriate things from these categories and then it will simulate the constructed robot using appropriate control schemes. The main aim is to obtain an intelligent system capable of suggesting a robotic manipulator by taking a few input parameters.
Project ObjectivesThe main aim is to obtain an intelligent system capable of suggesting a robotic manipulator by taking a few input parameters. MATLAB libraries containing essential components for building Robotic Manipulators will be created. The intelligent system will then choose the appropriate components from these libraries to build the robotic manipulator with an optimum design that will fulfill the design and performance demands of the user. It will also simulate the constructed robot using appropriate control schemes.
Project Implementation Method- It will take user input parameters( such as link lengths, motors, gears, etc.).

The significance of this project lies in the fact that its much easier and faster to perform the design and analysis of any physical system in software environment rather than doing it physically.
Furthermore its very hard to make any adjustments or mitigate any errors in physically made robotic manipulators. An intelligent system capable of doing all this stuff autonomously in a software environment will be an ideal solution.
