The purpose of the project is to develop a cooperative robotic plant monitoring system using multiple aerial and ground (mobile) robots. Multiple robots will cooperate to perform navigation and coverage of the field, to collect the plants data effectively and timely. Aerial robots will perform high level navigation and canopy detection, and Furthermore, it will guide the mobile robots. The ground robots will take the reading of the related canopies, the data will be transferred to the gateway. On the gateway, the data will be preprocessed and cleansed. This data will be transferred to the sever and will be stored in no-SQL databases. The curated and processed information will be displayed to the user online application. High level mission plans will be transmitted back to the robots in the field.
1. Literature Review: Current state of the art is explored.
2. Requirement Gathering: project requirements will be outline using use case UML diagram
3. Analysis: The modules of the project will be identified, and detailed analysis will be done for those modules. Detailed Data model, ERD and other UML diagram will be developed for each module.
4. Design: Both hardware and software module will be designed respective engineering principles. Based on our preliminary study following module are expected to be designed.
5. Testing: Test plan will be developed to test each module separately and for the integration of these modules.
6. Documentation: Each step of the project will be documented, and project progress will be presented in seminars/workshops/conferences and project competitions.
